한국의 화가로, 끊임없이 인간과 축제를 주요 화두로 다루어 오고 있다. 강렬한 제스츄어 드로잉과 액션 페인팅을 구사하여, 회화에 대한 근원적 탐구를 지향한다. 1949년부터 1981년까지 개최되었던 대한민국미술전람회(國展)에서 특선 3회, 입선 연 12회 입상해 국내유일의 여성추천작가(비구상부문)로 지정되었다. 1972년부터 2009년까지 신라대학교와 부산대학교 미술학과 교수로 재직하였다.

As a Korean painter, She has been constantly dealing with human beings and festivals as main topics. She uses intense gesture drawings and action paintings to conduct a fundamental exploration of painting.
She was selected as the only female recommendation artist in Korea after winning three special awards and 12 awards each year at the Korea National Art Exhibition held from 1949 to 1981.
She served as a professor at Silla University and Busan National University from 1972 to 2009.
